Central Coast have claimed their first McDonald’s U19 Female Country Championships shield, after securing a 10-run win over Western Zone in the trophy deciding fixture.
Co-captain of the Central Coast side, Eliza Thompson, put in a Player of the Final performance to guide her team to the title, top scoring with 26 runs (32 balls) before taking figures of 2-3 to restrict the opposition from reaching their target.

Central Coast 6/85 (E Thompson 26, E Humphreys 21, L Harrison 2-17) defeated Western 75 (E Dolbel 23, E Thompson 2-3, T French 2-18, E Humphreys 2-20).
