Congratulations to Western Zone who have gone back to back in the Under 15 Female Youth Country Championships. A very competitive Carnival saw a great finish to the last day when any number of teams could have taken the event out. Western however made it back to back wins after a very consistent performance, remaining unbeaten for the duration of the competition, to finish on 18 points, being 3 points clear of second placed Lake Macquarie on 15 points.

The final ladder was:

Western 18, Lake Macquarie 15, Central Coast 12 (2.035), Greater Illawarra 12 (1.614), Hunter Valley 12 (1.108), North Coast 9, Riverina 3 (-0.895), Southern Districts 3 (-3.663), Mid North Coast 0

The leading batters for the tournament were Ella Davidson (Central Coast - 186 runs @ 46.50), Lillie Watkins (Hunter Valley - 171 runs @ 42.75) and Nandana Jagarlamudi (Greater Illawarra - 148 runs @ 49.33).

With the ball Ella Davidson again featured taking 12 wkts @ 3.75, while Adelina Grant (Western - 12 wkts @ 3.83) and Christine Fernance (Newcastle - 10 wkts @ 6.60).

For her fantastic performances Central Coast's Ella Davidson was awarded the Player of the Carnival, being presented with her award by the Head of Country and Premier Cricket Sean Mantle.
